Job Overview

The Learning & Development Specialist will design, implement, and evaluate training programs that enhance employee capabilities, foster leadership, and support Unilever’s strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive training needs analyses across departments and levels.
  • Develop and deliver blended learning solutions, including workshops, e‑learning modules, and on‑the‑job coaching.
  • Partner with subject‑matter experts to create content that aligns with Unilever’s brand standards and business goals.
  • Manage the end‑to‑end learning lifecycle, from design and pilot testing to rollout and evaluation.
  • Track and report on learning metrics, ROI, and impact on performance.
  • Facilitate leadership development programs for emerging and senior managers.
  • Maintain the learning management system (LMS) and ensure data integrity.
  • Stay current on industry best practices and emerging learning technologies.

Required Skills

  • Strong instructional design expertise with a focus on adult learning principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities in both French and English.
  • Proficiency in LMS platforms and e‑learning authoring tools.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Project management skills, including timeline and stakeholder coordination.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related discipline is required. A master’s degree or professional certifications such as CPLP, ATD, or SHRM‑CP are highly desirable and demonstrate a commitment to advanced learning and development practices.

Experience

Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of proven experience in learning and development, preferably within a multinational consumer goods or fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment. Experience designing both classroom‑based and digital learning solutions, as well as a track record of measurable impact on employee performance, is essential.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from 800,000 to 1,200,000 SSP per month, reflecting the candidate’s expertise, experience, and the strategic importance of the role within Unilever Cameroon.
