Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all Nestlé Cameroon products meet stringent safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the engineer will design, implement, and monitor quality systems, conduct audits, and lead corrective actions. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000 quality systems across the Kribi manufacturing site.
• Conduct routine and non‑routine product inspections, laboratory testing, and sensory evaluations to verify compliance with specifications.
• Lead internal and external audits, prepare audit reports, and ensure timely closure of non‑conformities.
• Investigate product complaints, perform root‑cause analysis, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate with R&D to validate new product formulations and ensure they meet quality standards before launch.
• Provide technical training and mentorship to production staff on quality procedures and best practices.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including batch records, deviation reports, and quality metrics dashboards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality tools to enhance product safety and operational efficiency.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, GMP, and ISO standards.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, SPSS) and quality software (e.g., QMS, ERP).
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven approach to root‑cause analysis.
• Effective communication skills in French and English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of product integrity.
• Experience with audit preparation, execution, and follow‑up.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline is required. Candidates with additional certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), HACCP Practitioner, or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt will be given preference.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in quality assurance or quality control within a food manufacturing environment. Experience with multinational food companies and exposure to both local and international regulatory frameworks is highly valued.

Salary
