Job Overview

The Automation Solutions Engineer will design, implement, and optimize automation systems for manufacturing and process industries in the East Region. Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed automation architectures, including PLC programming, HMI design, and SCADA integration.
• Conduct site assessments, gather requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.
• Lead the installation, commissioning, and testing of automation equipment on client sites.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting during and after project deployment.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to create proposals and cost estimates.
• Ensure compliance with local safety standards, industry regulations, and Siemens quality guidelines.
• Document project progress, generate reports, and deliver training to client personnel.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in PLC platforms such as Siemens S7, TIA Portal, and WinCC.
• Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, Modbus).
• Experience with HMI/SCADA development and integration.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&ID diagrams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related discipline is required. Advanced certifications in Siemens automation technologies are highly desirable and will be considered an asset.

Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in designing, programming, and commissioning automation solutions for industrial environments. Experience in the African market, particularly in Cameroon, is advantageous.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from 1,200,000 to 1,800,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and a pension scheme.
