Job Overview:Are you a highly skilled data scientist looking for a challenging role in a dynamic organization? Do you have a passion for using data analytics to drive business decisions? We are seeking a data scientist to join our team in Yaoundé, Cameroon. As a data scientist at IITA, you will work closely with our research teams to design and implement data-driven solutions to address the country’s agricultural challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data-driven solutions to address agricultural challenges in Cameroon
- Develop and maintain advanced data analytics models and algorithms
- Collaborate with research teams to identify and prioritize data-driven research projects
- Communicate research findings and recommendations to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and publications
Required Skills:
- Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field
- 8-12 years of experience in data science and analytics
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Education:We are seeking a Ph.D. holder in Computer Science or a related field with a strong background in data science and analytics.
Experience:8-12 years of experience in data science and analytics, with a strong track record of delivering high-impact projects.
Salary:500,000 – 700,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
