Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct field research to identify and document cultural heritage sites, practices, and artifacts.
  • Collaborate with local communities to develop preservation strategies and educational programs.
  • Design and implement heritage conservation projects, including site restoration and digital archiving.
  • Coordinate with government agencies and NGOs to secure funding and regulatory approvals.
  • Organize cultural festivals, workshops, and training to raise awareness about heritage protection.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in cultural heritage management frameworks and international standards.
  • Strong project management and cross-cultural communication skills.

Education

Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Cultural Heritage Management, Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related discipline. A PhD is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience

Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in cultural preservation projects, preferably in Sub-Saharan Africa. Experience in community-based heritage initiatives is highly desirable.

Salary

500,000 – 800,000 SSP per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
