Job Overview
This role involves leading the design and implementation of urban development projects in Kribi, focusing on smart city technologies, sustainable infrastructure, and community-centric planning. The position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of urban living in Cameroon while collaborating with international experts and local stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute urban planning strategies aligned with smart city frameworks.
- Conduct feasibility studies for infrastructure projects, including transportation and energy systems.
- Collaborate with local governments and communities to ensure inclusive development.
- Integrate GIS and data analytics tools for urban modeling and scenario planning.
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and compliance with environmental regulations.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in urban design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ArcGIS, SketchUp).
- Strong analytical skills for assessing urban challenges and proposing solutions.
- Experience in public-private partnerships and stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of Cameroonian zoning laws and urban development policies.
- Fluency in English and French is preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, or Civil Engineering.
- Master’s Degree in Urban Development or Smart Cities is an asset.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in urban planning or related fields.
- Proven track record in managing urban infrastructure projects.
Salary
1,500,000 – 2,500,000 XAF per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
