Job Overview
The Senior Procurement Specialist will play a critical role in optimizing our local supply chain operations in Bertoua. This position is essential for ensuring that our manufacturing facilities receive high-quality raw materials and packaging components on time and within budget. You will be responsible for managing complex vendor relationships, negotiating high-value contracts, and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives that align with Nestlé’s global sustainability goals. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to ensure continuous supply of essential manufacturing materials.
- Negotiate complex commercial terms and pricing with local and international suppliers to achieve cost savings.
- Conduct rigorous supplier audits to ensure compliance with Nestlé’s strict quality and ethical standards.
- Analyze market trends and commodity pricing to mitigate supply chain risks and volatility.
- Collaborate with the production and logistics teams to synchronize procurement schedules with manufacturing demands.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement efficiency and cost reduction.
Required Skills
- Advanced negotiation and contract management capabilities.
- Deep understanding of global procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder management.
- In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations and local import/export laws.
Education
A Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Professional certification such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) is highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in strategic procurement or sourcing, preferably within the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) or manufacturing sector. Proven track record of managing large-scale vendor portfolios is essential.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 450,000 SSP to 750,000 SSP, depending on experience and qualifications.
