Job Overview
This role is central to Solafrica’s mission to deliver large-scale solar energy projects in Cameroon. The Renewable Energy Project Coordinator will oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of solar energy initiatives in Kribi, ensuring alignment with technical, financial, and environmental standards. The position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to Cameroon’s energy transition while working with cutting-edge renewable technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to design and implement solar energy projects.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables in compliance with regulatory frameworks.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new solar installations.
- Engage with local stakeholders, including government agencies and community leaders.
- Monitor project performance and report progress to senior management.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in renewable energy project management.
- Strong technical knowledge of solar energy systems and technologies.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
- Fluency in English and French is preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical) or Environmental Science. A Master’s Degree in Renewable Energy or Sustainable Development is an asset.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in renewable energy project coordination, preferably in Africa. Experience with solar energy projects is mandatory.
Salary
2,500,000 – 3,500,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
