Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Ecotourism Development Manager to lead our efforts in Kribi, Cameroon. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing ecotourism strategies that promote sustainable tourism practices, support conservation efforts, and benefit local communities. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ecotourism strategies and plans that align with WWF’s conservation goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote sustainable tourism practices.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for ecotourism development.
- Manage and coordinate ecotourism projects, including budgeting, reporting, and evaluation.
- Build capacity of local communities and stakeholders in ecotourism management and conservation.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Tourism, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in ecotourism development, conservation, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of sustainable tourism principles and practices.
- Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Tourism, or related field.
Experience
5 years of experience in ecotourism development, conservation, or a related field.
Salary
The salary range for this position is 500,000 – 800,000 SSP per month.
