Job Overview
The Credit Risk Analyst will play a pivotal role in assessing creditworthiness, monitoring portfolio risk, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will work closely with relationship managers, underwriting teams, and senior risk officers to develop robust risk models and provide actionable insights. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze credit applications and financial statements to determine borrower risk profiles.
- Develop and maintain credit risk rating models in line with Basel III guidelines.
- Monitor existing loan portfolios for early warning signs and recommend mitigation actions.
- Prepare detailed risk assessment reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with product teams to design risk‑adjusted pricing structures.
- Conduct periodic stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate portfolio resilience.
- Stay updated on macro‑economic trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes affecting credit risk.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with proficiency in Excel, VBA, and statistical software (e.g., SAS, R).
- In‑depth knowledge of credit risk frameworks, loan underwriting, and financial statement analysis.
- Excellent communication skills to present complex risk concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, high integrity, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Team‑player mindset with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Experience
Applicants should have 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in credit risk analysis, preferably within a commercial banking environment. Experience with risk modeling, portfolio monitoring, and regulatory reporting is essential.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 250,000,000 to SSP 400,000,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the total rewards.
