Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Hydrology Engineer to join our technical team in Foumban. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of large-scale water distribution and drainage systems.
- Conduct advanced hydrological modeling to predict water availability and flood risks.
- Oversee groundwater exploration and monitoring programs to ensure sustainable extraction.
- Collaborate with local government agencies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Manage technical field teams and supervise site-specific engineering activities.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and feasibility studies for municipal water projects.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in hydrological modeling software such as MODFLOW or HEC-RAS.
- Expertise in groundwater flow dynamics and surface water-groundwater interaction.
- Strong project management capabilities and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental impact assessment protocols.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills in English and French.
Education
A Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Hydrology, or a closely related field is mandatory. A PhD in Water Resources Engineering is highly preferred for this senior-level position.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in hydrological engineering or water resource management, preferably within large-scale infrastructure projects. Salary
