Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Manager will lead the QA team at the Tiko brewery, ensuring that every product meets Heineken’s stringent quality standards and complies with local and international regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001, HACCP, and Heineken global standards.
• Lead internal and external audits, ensuring corrective actions are identified, tracked, and closed effectively.
• Oversee raw material, in‑process, and finished‑product testing, guaranteeing compliance with safety and sensory specifications.
• Manage a team of QA analysts, providing coaching, performance reviews, and career development plans.
• Collaborate with production engineers to troubleshoot quality issues and drive root‑cause analysis.
• Prepare detailed quality reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure all documentation, including batch records and SOPs, is accurate, up‑to‑date, and accessible.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and enhance product consistency.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to enforce quality agreements and conduct supplier audits.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to keep Heineken at the forefront of beverage quality.

Required Skills

• Deep knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, ISO 22000, and GMP.
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven mindset.
• Excellent communication skills in English and French.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and quality software tools.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Project management expertise, preferably with Lean Six Sigma certification.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.

Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of five years of progressive experience in quality assurance within the beverage or food manufacturing sector. Experience in a multinational environment, managing audit programs, and leading continuous improvement projects is essential. Prior exposure to Heineken’s global quality framework or similar large‑scale brewing operations will be viewed favorably.
