Job Overview
The Marketplace Operations Manager will lead the end‑to‑end operational processes of Jumia’s online marketplace in Mbalmayo. This includes overseeing product onboarding, vendor management, order fulfillment, quality assurance, and performance analytics. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the onboarding of new sellers, ensuring compliance with Jumia’s standards and policies.
- Monitor and optimize order processing workflows to achieve on‑time delivery targets.
- Develop and enforce quality control procedures for product listings, images, and descriptions.
- Analyze marketplace performance metrics and generate actionable reports for senior leadership.
- Collaborate with the Logistics team to streamline last‑mile delivery and returns handling.
- Implement process improvements that reduce operational costs and enhance seller satisfaction.
- Manage a team of operations specialists, providing coaching, performance feedback, and career development.
- Ensure adherence to local regulations, tax requirements, and consumer protection laws.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for vendor relations.
- Project management experience, preferably with Agile methodologies.

Education

Salary
