Job Overview

The Logistics Operations Manager will lead the daily operational activities of Bolloré Logistics’ Maroua office, ensuring the efficient movement of goods, compliance with regulatory standards, and high levels of customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and customs clearance.
• Develop and implement operational KPIs to monitor performance, cost efficiency, and service quality.
• Coordinate with sales, customer service, and finance teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
• Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and local authorities to secure reliable service contracts.
• Lead a team of logistics coordinators, drivers, and warehouse staff, providing coaching and performance feedback.
• Ensure compliance with Cameroonian customs regulations, safety standards, and international trade laws.
• Identify and execute process improvement projects using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Prepare operational reports and present insights to senior management for strategic decision‑making.
• Support business development initiatives by providing logistical expertise for new client proposals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and data integrity within the company’s logistics management system.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven mindset.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for dealing with clients and partners.
• Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP TM, Oracle Transportation Management) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop multidisciplinary teams.
• In‑depth knowledge of customs procedures, import/export regulations, and freight forwarding practices.
• Project management expertise, including planning, budgeting, and risk assessment.
• Fluency in French and English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Candidates with professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) will be given preference.

Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of five to seven years of progressive experience in logistics operations, with at least two years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience within the African market, particularly in West or Central Africa, is highly desirable.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from 1,200,000 to 2,000,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and allowances may be added to the base salary.
