Job Overview

The Logistics Operations Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all logistics activities at the Bafoussam hub. Reporting to the Regional Operations Director, you will be responsible for optimizing freight movement, managing warehouse operations, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies to manage inbound and outbound freight across road, rail, and maritime modes.
• Oversee warehouse operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with customs authorities to ensure timely clearance of goods and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery accuracy, transit time, and cost per ton, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead a team of logistics coordinators, drivers, and warehouse staff, providing coaching, performance feedback, and career development.
• Negotiate contracts with carriers, freight forwarders, and third‑party service providers to secure competitive rates.
• Prepare regular operational reports for senior management and contribute to strategic planning for the region.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Leadership experience with a focus on team motivation and development.
• In‑depth knowledge of Cameroonian customs procedures and international trade regulations.

Education

Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of five years of progressive experience in logistics management, preferably within a multinational environment.
