Job Overview

The Construction Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large‑scale construction projects in Kumba and surrounding areas. Reporting to the Regional Director, you will be responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and delivering projects on time and within scope. Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and cost estimates for construction initiatives.
• Lead and supervise on‑site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
• Ensure compliance with Cameroonian building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Manage procurement processes, negotiate contracts, and oversee material logistics.
• Prepare regular status reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Facilitate communication between client representatives, local authorities, and internal departments.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.

Required Skills

• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Effective communication in French and English.
• Knowledge of local construction practices and regulatory environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as PMP or CCMP are considered an advantage and demonstrate a commitment to professional development.

Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of five to seven years of experience managing construction projects of similar scale, preferably within the African market. Experience with large‑scale infrastructure, residential complexes, or industrial facilities will be highly valued.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from 2,500,000 to 3,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and allowances are included to reward exceptional delivery and adherence to safety standards.
