Job Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Hydraulic Systems Technician to join our specialized field service team in Sangmélima. This role is critical to ensuring the operational efficiency and longevity of our heavy-duty machinery used in large-scale earthmoving and construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex hydraulic circuits, pumps, and cylinders. This is a hands-on role that requires deep technical knowledge and the ability to work in demanding environments. Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics on hydraulic systems using specialized pressure gauges and electronic testing tools.
- Repair and overhaul hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, and cylinders to manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct preventative maintenance schedules on heavy machinery to minimize downtime.
- Interpret complex technical schematics and blueprints to identify system failures.
- Collaborate with site engineers to troubleshoot integrated mechanical and hydraulic malfunctions.
- Maintain accurate service logs and documentation for all repairs and inspections.
Required Skills
- Expertise in reading and interpreting hydraulic circuit diagrams and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using specialized diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a focus on fluid power systems.
- Ability to work independently in remote field locations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Education
A Higher National Diploma (HND) or a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Power Technology, or a closely related technical field is required for this position.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of direct experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy hydraulic machinery. Previous experience in the mining or large-scale construction sectors is highly preferred.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 450,000 SSP to 750,000 SSP, depending on technical certifications and prior experience.
