Job Overview
British Council Cameroon seeks a Digital Literacy Program Coordinator to design, implement, and manage initiatives that promote digital literacy in underserved communities. This role is critical to advancing our mission of educational equity and technological inclusion in Cameroon.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute digital literacy training programs for schools, NGOs, and community centers.
- Collaborate with local partners to identify training needs and customize curricula.
- Monitor program impact through data collection and reporting to stakeholders.
- Organize workshops and seminars on digital tools, online safety, and e-learning platforms.
- Provide technical support and resources to participants and partner organizations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in education program management or technology training.
- Strong understanding of digital tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, learning management systems).
- Excellent communication and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt training materials for diverse audiences, including rural and urban populations.
- Proficiency in French and English is an advantage.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Information Technology, or related field. A postgraduate qualification in Digital Education or Public Administration is preferred.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in education, technology, or community development programs. Prior experience in sub-Saharan Africa is a plus.
Salary
2,500,000 – 3,500,000 XAF annually, depending on experience.
