Job Overview

CGI Cameroon seeks an Agri-Tech Systems Integration Specialist to design and implement digital solutions that optimize agricultural value chains. This role will bridge cutting-edge technology with traditional farming practices to improve efficiency, traceability, and sustainability in Cameroon’s agricultural sector. The position is based in Kumbo, a key agricultural hub in the Northwest Region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy agri-tech systems integrating IoT, AI, and blockchain for crop monitoring and supply chain tracking
  • Collaborate with local farmers, cooperatives, and agribusinesses to identify digital transformation needs
  • Develop custom software solutions for precision agriculture and farm management
  • Conduct data analysis to optimize resource allocation and yield prediction models
  • Provide technical training to stakeholders on agri-tech platform usage
  • Ensure system scalability and cybersecurity compliance across agricultural networks

Required Skills

  • Expertise in agricultural technology systems integration
  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python, JavaScript) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
  • Experience with IoT sensor networks and agricultural data analytics
  • Strong understanding of Cameroonian agricultural ecosystems
  • Excellent project management and cross-cultural communication skills
  • Certification in agri-tech solutions (preferred but not required)

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Master’s Degree in Digital Agriculture (advantageous)

Experience

  • 3-5 years in agricultural technology implementation
  • Proven track record in systems integration projects
  • Experience working in African agricultural contexts

Salary

1,500,000 – 2,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
