Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geological Mapping Specialist to join our team in Buea, Cameroon. As a Geological Mapping Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate and up-to-date geological maps and databases, working closely with our team of geologists and GIS analysts.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in geology and GIS, with experience in geological mapping and data analysis. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date geological maps and databases
- Conduct geological fieldwork and data collection
- Analyze and interpret geological data, including rock samples and geophysical data
- Collaborate with geologists and GIS analysts to integrate geological data into GIS databases
- Develop and maintain geological mapping standards and procedures
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geography, or related field
- 5-10 years of experience in geological mapping and data analysis
- Strong background in GIS and geospatial analysis
