Job Overview

The Strategic Procurement Manager will lead the end‑to‑end procurement process for critical equipment, services, and materials required for Shell’s oil and gas projects in Cameroon. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the manager will develop sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely delivery and optimal value. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for capital and operational expenditures.
• Conduct market analysis, supplier benchmarking, and risk assessments to identify optimal suppliers.
• Lead negotiations for contracts, ensuring favorable terms, cost savings, and compliance with Shell’s policies.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, and project teams to align procurement activities with project schedules.
• Ensure adherence to local regulations, international standards, and Shell’s ethical procurement guidelines.
• Prepare and present procurement reports, dashboards, and cost‑benefit analyses to senior leadership.
• Mentor junior procurement staff and foster a culture of excellence and accountability.

Education

Applicants must have 5‑7 years of progressive procurement experience, with at least three years in the oil & gas sector or a similarly complex industrial environment. Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier development, and contract negotiations is essential.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from 2,500,000 to 3,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and pension contributions.
