Job Overview

The Head of Mobile Payments Innovation will lead the design, development, and launch of next‑generation mobile payment solutions that meet the evolving needs of consumers, merchants, and enterprises in Cameroon. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive mobile payments roadmap aligned with the bank’s digital strategy and market trends.
  • Lead end‑to‑end product development, from concept and design to testing, launch, and post‑launch optimization.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to ensure robust integration with core banking systems, APIs, and third‑party services.
  • Define product features, pricing models, and go‑to‑market strategies that maximize user adoption and profitability.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as transaction volume, active users, and revenue, and implement data‑driven improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, AML/CFT requirements, and international security standards (PCI‑DSS, ISO 27001).

Required Skills

  • Deep expertise in mobile payments, digital wallets, and fintech ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of banking operations, core banking integration, and API architectures.

Education

Experience

Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mobile payments, digital banking, or fintech product development, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role. Demonstrated success in launching mobile payment products in emerging markets is essential.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from 2,500,000 to 3,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and retirement benefits.
