Job Overview
Cameroon Job Search is pleased to announce a job vacancy for a Sustainable Urban Planner at AECOM in Bertoua, Cameroon. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable urban planning strategies that promote economic growth, social equity, and environmental sustainability.
The Sustainable Urban Planner will work closely with government agencies, private sector companies, and community groups to design and implement urban planning projects that meet the needs of diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in urban planning, a passion for sustainability, and excellent communication and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainable urban planning strategies that promote economic growth, social equity, and environmental sustainability
- Conduct urban planning research and analysis to identify best practices and innovative solutions
- Collaborate with government agencies, private sector companies, and community groups to design and implement urban planning projects
- Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources
- Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, business leaders, and community members
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in urban planning, architecture, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in urban planning, with a focus on sustainability
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
