Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of sustainable forestry projects integrated with renewable energy systems.
- Coordinate with local communities, government agencies, and international partners to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Monitor forest health, carbon sequestration metrics, and energy generation outputs from hybrid projects.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, timelines, and risk management frameworks.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders, including impact assessments and sustainability benchmarks.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in project management for environmental or agricultural initiatives.
- Strong understanding of forestry practices, carbon credit systems, and renewable energy technologies.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-cultural communication abilities.
- Proficiency in GIS mapping, data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau), and project management software.
- Ability to work in remote field locations with limited infrastructure.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent.
- Master’s degree or certifications in Sustainable Resource Management preferred.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in forestry, renewable energy, or environmental project management.
- Previous work in Cameroon or other African countries is an advantage.
Salary
1,200,000 – 1,800,000 XAF per month, commensurate with experience.
