Job Overview

Wildlife Conservation Officers play a pivotal role in safeguarding Cameroon’s natural heritage. This position involves fieldwork, community engagement, and data collection to support conservation initiatives in Garoua’s biodiverse regions. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct wildlife surveys and habitat assessments in designated conservation zones.
  • Collaborate with local communities to promote sustainable land-use practices.
  • Monitor and report on wildlife poaching, habitat degradation, and human-wildlife conflict incidents.
  • Collect and analyze ecological data to inform conservation strategies.
  • Organize and lead environmental education workshops for stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in wildlife conservation or ecological research.
  • Strong knowledge of Cameroonian biodiversity and conservation laws.
