Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Marine Biologist to join our team in Limbe, Cameroon. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our marine conservation efforts in the region, working closely with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders to protect and conserve marine ecosystems.

The Senior Marine Biologist will be responsible for developing and implementing conservation strategies, conducting research and monitoring programs, and providing technical support to our partners and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine biology, conservation, and project management, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement conservation strategies for marine ecosystems in the region
• Conduct research and monitoring programs to inform conservation efforts
• Provide technical support to partners and stakeholders, including local communities and governments
• Collaborate with other WWF teams and partners to achieve conservation goals
• Develop and manage project budgets and reports

Required Skills

• Master’s degree in marine biology, conservation biology, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in marine conservation, research, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of marine ecosystems and conservation principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Fluency in English and French
