Job Overview

The Sustainable Agriculture Program Manager will lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of Cargill’s agronomic initiatives in the West Region of Cameroon. Reporting to the Regional Sustainability Director, you will collaborate with local farmer cooperatives, government agencies, NGOs, and research institutions to develop climate‑resilient farming techniques, improve soil health, and increase crop yields. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive sustainable agriculture roadmap aligned with Cargill’s global ESG goals.
• Lead field trials and pilot projects on conservation agriculture, agroforestry, and water‑efficient irrigation.
• Engage with farmer groups to provide training, technical assistance, and access to high‑quality inputs.
• Monitor and evaluate program performance using KPIs such as yield improvement, carbon sequestration, and farmer income growth.
• Prepare detailed progress reports, budgets, and impact assessments for internal and external stakeholders.
• Secure funding from development banks, NGOs, and government programs to scale successful initiatives.
• Collaborate with Cargill’s supply chain teams to integrate sustainable practices into sourcing standards.
• Represent Cargill at industry conferences, workshops, and policy forums to promote best practices.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of sustainable farming practices, climate‑smart agriculture, and soil science.
