Job Overview

The Senior Legal Counsel will act as a strategic advisor to the executive leadership team, providing expert legal guidance on a wide range of commercial, regulatory, and corporate matters. This role is critical in mitigating legal risks and ensuring that all business operations within the region comply with both local Cameroonian laws and international standards. You will lead complex negotiations, oversee contract lifecycles, and manage external counsel when necessary. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic legal advice to senior management on commercial transactions and regulatory compliance.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including joint ventures and service contracts.
  • Monitor changes in local and international laws to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations in the Central African region.
  • Oversee corporate governance matters and ensure adherence to statutory requirements.

Education

Salary
