Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Financial Inclusion Specialist to join our team in Bertoua, Cameroon. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of financial inclusion programs in Cameroon, with a focus on increasing access to financial services for low-income individuals and small businesses.

The Senior Financial Inclusion Specialist will work closely with local partners, including banks, microfinance institutions, and non-profit organizations, to design and implement financial inclusion programs that meet the needs of low-income individuals and small businesses. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, donors, and private sector partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of financial inclusion programs in Cameroon, with a focus on increasing access to financial services for low-income individuals and small businesses.
  • Work closely with local partners, including banks, microfinance institutions, and non-profit organizations, to design and implement financial inclusion programs.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, donors, and private sector partners.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for financial inclusion in Cameroon.
  • Develop and manage budgets for financial inclusion programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of financial inclusion programs.

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in economics, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial inclusion, with a focus on program development and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of the financial inclusion landscape in Cameroon.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English and French.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, or a related field.

Experience

At least 5 years of experience in financial inclusion, with a focus on program development and implementation.
