Job Summary
The Project Management Specialist (Supply Chain) provides strategic, technical, and programmatic support in health logistics and supply chain management. The role involves advising stakeholders, managing programs, and strengthening national health supply chain systems in collaboration with government bodies, partners, and international organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Program Management
- Serve as COR/AOR or Activity Manager for health supply chain programs
- Ensure financial and programmatic oversight of projects
- Conduct site visits and provide recommendations for improved efficiency
Technical Guidance & Leadership
- Provide expertise in supply chain systems and health logistics
- Support forecasting, procurement, and planning activities
- Guide policy formulation and system improvements
- Coordinate with stakeholders to strengthen supply chain operations
Representation & Reporting
- Represent the organization in technical meetings and working groups
- Collaborate with donors, government agencies, and partners
- Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing documents
- Support planning and reporting processes
Coordination & Collaboration
- Work with interagency partners and health programs
- Support procurement and monitoring of health commodities
- Participate in workshops and advisory forums
Supervision
- Reports to Supply Chain and Governance Advisor
- No supervisory responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Master’s Degree in Public Health, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Epidemiology, or related field
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or related health programs
Experience working with NGOs, donors, or development partners preferred
Language
Fluent in English and local business language (written and spoken)
Skills & Competencies
- Strong project management and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities
- Ability to work independently and within teams
- Knowledge of health supply chain systems
- Proficiency in tools like Excel, SPSS, STATA, R or similar
