Job Overview
The ICRC is seeking a Digital Archivist to join its team in Ebolowa, Cameroon. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the ICRC’s digital archives, ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of digital records. The Digital Archivist will work closely with the Archives and Records Management team to develop and implement digital preservation strategies, and to provide training and support to ICRC staff on digital archiving best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement digital preservation strategies for the ICRC’s digital archives
- Manage the ICRC’s digital archives, ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of digital records
- Provide training and support to ICRC staff on digital archiving best practices
- Collaborate with the Archives and Records Management team to develop and implement records management policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with international standards and best practices for digital preservation and records management
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Archives and Records Management, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in digital archiving, records management, or a related field
- Knowledge of digital preservation strategies and techniques
- Experience with digital archiving software and systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and training skills
