Job Overview

The PEPFAR HIV Free Project, funded by the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), is seeking an experienced Clinical Advisor to support HIV clinical services in Cameroon. About the Project

The HIV Free Project is implemented by the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Board (CBCHB) across 79 Differentiated Service Delivery (DSD) sites in Cameroon. FHI 360 provides technical assistance aimed at improving:

  • HIV case identification
  • Linkage to HIV treatment and care
  • ART initiation and adherence
  • Viral load monitoring systems
  • Health system strengthening and patient retention

The Clinical Advisor will support evidence-based programming and ensure the implementation of best practices in HIV prevention, care, treatment, and clinical service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Technical Leadership

The Clinical Advisor will:

  • Provide technical oversight for HIV clinical services for adults and children.
  • Support HIV testing and counseling, patient linkage, ART initiation, and retention strategies.
  • Strengthen clinical treatment programs and optimize viral load monitoring systems.
  • Guide implementation of effective HIV treatment regimens and patient care strategies.
  • Support healthcare facilities with technical assistance and quality improvement systems.
  • Ensure adherence to PEPFAR and CDC clinical guidelines.

Education Requirements
