Job Overview

CCDC is seeking a dynamic Civil Engineering Project Coordinator to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of infrastructure projects in Buea. This role requires a strategic thinker with technical expertise to manage cross-functional teams and ensure compliance with engineering standards and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate design, scheduling, and budgeting for civil engineering projects.
  • Supervise site inspections to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and government agencies to resolve technical challenges.
  • Prepare progress reports and present updates to senior management.
  • Optimize resource allocation to meet project deadlines and cost targets.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and project management software (e.g., Primavera).
  • Strong analytical skills for risk assessment and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of Cameroonian building codes and environmental regulations.
  • Bilingual (English/French) preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is an asset.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in civil engineering project coordination.
  • Proven track record in managing infrastructure projects in West/Central Africa.

Salary

1,500,000 – 2,500,000 Central African CFA Francs (SSP) per month, commensurate with experience.
