Job Overview

The AI Solutions Architect will spearhead the design, development, and deployment of cutting‑edge artificial intelligence solutions for IBM’s clients in Cameroon and the Central African region. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end AI solution architecture, from data ingestion to model deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define AI use cases aligned with client business objectives.
  • Develop proof‑of‑concepts and prototypes to demonstrate AI value propositions.
  • Ensure AI models adhere to IBM’s ethical AI guidelines and local regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and data scientists.
  • Participate in pre‑sales activities, including solution presentations and proposal development.
  • Maintain documentation of architecture decisions, design patterns, and best practices.

Required Skills

  • Strong expertise in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit‑learn.
  • Proficiency in programming languages Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Deep understanding of data engineering concepts, ETL pipelines, and big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop).
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and capacity to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Effective communication skills in English and French.

Education

A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required. Relevant certifications such as IBM AI Engineering Professional Certificate, AWS Certified Machine Learning, or Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer are advantageous.

Experience

Applicants must have at least five years of hands‑on experience designing and implementing AI/ML solutions in enterprise environments. Salary
