Job Overview

This role focuses on designing and evaluating public policy initiatives that address socio-economic challenges in Cameroon. The position requires collaboration with government agencies, civil society, and international stakeholders to ensure policy alignment with national development goals. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis on public policy frameworks related to governance, education, and healthcare
  • Develop policy recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative data
  • Coordinate with Cameroonian ministries to implement evidence-based reforms
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor policy implementation and evaluate impact using KPIs

Required Skills

  • Expertise in public policy design and evaluation
  • Strong analytical and quantitative research skills
  • Proficiency in policy modeling software (e.g., STATA, R)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Knowledge of Cameroonian governance structures and development priorities

Education

  • Master’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field
  • Additional certifications in policy analysis (e.g., IPA) preferred

Experience

  • 3-5 years in public policy research, government consulting, or international development
  • Proven experience in governance reform projects

Salary

5,000,000 – 7,500,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience.
