Job Overview

AECOM Cameroon is seeking an experienced Urban Mobility Planner to lead the design and implementation of sustainable transportation solutions in Dschang. This role will focus on optimizing urban mobility through data-driven planning, public transit integration, and pedestrian-friendly infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Develop urban mobility plans and smart transportation strategies for Dschang and surrounding regions
• Conduct traffic flow analysis and urban mobility modeling using GIS and simulation tools
• Collaborate with municipal authorities, urban planners, and transportation engineers on integrated projects
• Design pedestrian and cycling infrastructure to promote sustainable urban mobility
• Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and stakeholder presentations
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of implemented mobility solutions

Required Skills

• Proficiency in urban planning software (ArcGIS, AutoCAD, TransCAD)
• Knowledge of smart mobility technologies and sustainable transportation principles
• Strong analytical skills for traffic data interpretation and scenario modeling
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Experience with public transit system design and optimization
• Fluency in English and French (preferred)

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related field
• Master’s Degree in Urban Mobility or Smart Cities (advantageous)

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in urban mobility planning or transportation engineering
• Proven track record in smart city projects or sustainable urban development
• Experience working in African urban environments (preferred)

Salary

1,200,000 – 1,800,000 XAF per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
