Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainable Agriculture Specialist to join our team in Maroua, Cameroon. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance to IFAD’s projects in Cameroon, with a focus on sustainable agriculture practices, climate change mitigation, and rural development.
The Sustainable Agriculture Specialist will work closely with IFAD’s project teams, government agencies, and other stakeholders to design and implement sustainable agriculture initiatives that promote food security, improve livelihoods, and protect the environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance to IFAD’s projects in Cameroon on sustainable agriculture practices, climate change mitigation, and rural development
- Design and implement sustainable agriculture initiatives that promote food security, improve livelihoods, and protect the environment
- Work closely with IFAD’s project teams, government agencies, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives
- Develop and implement project work plans, budgets, and monitoring and evaluation frameworks
- Provide training and capacity-building support to project beneficiaries and stakeholders
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in sustainable agriculture
- Strong knowledge of sustainable agriculture practices, climate change mitigation, and rural development
- Excellent project management and coordination skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
