Job Overview

The Solar Power Plant Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of Enel Green Power’s solar facility in Mokolo. This includes ensuring optimal plant performance, managing maintenance activities, supervising technical staff, and guaranteeing compliance with safety and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all operational activities of the solar plant, ensuring production targets are met.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to maximize equipment availability.
• Monitor plant performance metrics, analyze data, and generate reports for senior management.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular audits.
• Manage a multidisciplinary team of technicians, engineers, and contractors, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
• Coordinate with the supply chain department to secure spare parts and manage inventory levels.
• Engage with local authorities and community stakeholders to promote positive relationships and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for operational optimization, cost reduction, and technology upgrades.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of photovoltaic (PV) systems, inverter technology, and grid integration.
• Proven experience in plant operations management within the renewable energy sector.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and data‑driven decision‑making skills.
• Leadership and team‑building capabilities with a focus on safety culture.
• Effective communication skills in English and French.
• Proficiency with SCADA systems, performance monitoring tools, and MS Office suite.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as PMP, CEM, or equivalent are advantageous and demonstrate a commitment to professional development.

Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of hands‑on experience managing solar power plant operations, including experience with large‑scale PV installations (≥10 MW). Prior experience in a leadership role, overseeing multidisciplinary teams, and handling budgetary responsibilities is essential.

Salary

The competitive salary range for this role is 2,500,000 – 3,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the compensation package.
