Job Overview
Cameroon Job Search is pleased to announce the availability of a Senior Environmental Economist position at the World Bank’s country office in Maroua, Cameroon. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to the Bank’s environmental and natural resources team in Cameroon.
The Senior Environmental Economist will work closely with the Bank’s task teams to design and implement environmental and natural resources projects in Cameroon. The candidate will also provide technical assistance to the Government of Cameroon and other stakeholders to support the development of environmental and natural resources policies and programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and support to the Bank’s environmental and natural resources team in Cameroon
- Design and implement environmental and natural resources projects in Cameroon
- Provide technical assistance to the Government of Cameroon and other stakeholders to support the development of environmental and natural resources policies and programs
- Conduct economic and environmental analyses to inform project design and implementation
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, civil society organizations, and private sector companies
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in environmental economics, natural resources economics, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in environmental economics or a related field
- Strong technical skills in economic and environmental analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders
Education
A Master’s degree in environmental economics, natural resources economics, or a related field is required.
