Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Manager will lead Heineken Cameroon’s quality assurance function, overseeing all aspects of product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems aligned with ISO 9001, HACCP, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring corrective actions are identified, tracked, and resolved promptly.
  • Monitor critical control points throughout the brewing and packaging processes to guarantee product safety and consistency.
  • Collaborate with R&D to evaluate new formulations, raw materials, and packaging components for compliance.
  • Provide training and mentorship to quality technicians and production staff on best practices and SOPs.
  • Analyze quality data, generate reports, and present findings to senior management for strategic decision‑making.
  • Manage relationships with regulatory agencies, suppliers, and third‑party certification bodies.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, ISO 22000, and GMP.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, SPSS) and quality software (e.g., QMS, LIMS).
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a data‑driven mindset.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to influence cross‑functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or HACCP Practitioner are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
