Job Overview
This role involves analyzing maritime logistics data to optimize shipping routes, coordinate port operations, and ensure compliance with international shipping regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct data analysis on shipping routes, cargo volumes, and port throughput to identify efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate with port authorities and shipping partners to streamline container handling processes.
- Monitor compliance with International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulations and environmental standards.
- Develop reports on logistics performance metrics for senior management review.
- Implement digital tools for real-time tracking of maritime cargo movements.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in logistics analytics software (e.g., SAP Logistics, Oracle Transportation Management).
- Strong understanding of maritime trade regulations and port operations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills for resolving cargo delays and supply chain bottlenecks.
- Experience with maritime route optimization and fuel consumption analysis.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Maritime Studies.
- Preferred: Certification in Maritime Logistics (CML) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in maritime logistics or port operations.
- Proven track record in optimizing shipping routes or reducing cargo handling costs.
Salary
1,500,000 – 2,500,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and performance.
