Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and charismatic Hospitality Food and Beverage Manager to lead our dining operations in Bamenda. This role is critical to our success, as you will oversee all aspects of restaurant, bar, and banquet services. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, service, and hygiene while managing a diverse team of culinary and service professionals. This is a high-impact role that requires a blend of strategic planning and hands-on operational management. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of all food and beverage outlets to ensure consistent service quality.
- Manage and mentor a large team of chefs, servers, and bartenders to achieve peak performance.
- Develop and implement seasonal menus in collaboration with the Executive Chef to drive revenue.
- Monitor food and beverage costs, managing inventory and waste to maximize profitability.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve any service issues with professionalism and grace.
- Coordinate with the sales and events team to execute high-profile banquets and private functions.
Required Skills
- Advanced leadership and team management capabilities in a high-pressure environment.
- In-depth knowledge of international culinary trends and beverage pairing.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
- Exceptional communication skills in both English and French.
- Proficiency in modern Point of Sale (POS) and inventory management software.
- A customer-centric mindset with a passion for luxury service standards.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, or a related field is mandatory. Professional certifications in Food Safety or Sommelier training are highly desirable.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of management experience within a 4 or 5-star hotel environment. Proven track record in managing large teams and controlling operational costs is essential for success in this role.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 450,000 SSP to 750,000 SSP, depending on experience and performance metrics.
