Job Description

Comdain Infrastructure is hiring an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join its growing team in Queensland. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals seeking estimator jobs in Douala or quantity surveyor roles in civil construction, particularly within the water and gas sector. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, supporting tender processes, and contributing to project profitability and delivery efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze plans, specifications, and project data to prepare detailed cost estimates
  • Determine material, labor, and time requirements for civil construction projects
  • Prepare itemized cost breakdowns for management and tender submissions
  • Consult with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to refine estimates and resolve issues
  • Compare estimated costs with actual project costs to improve accuracy
  • Support procurement, cost management, and reporting processes
  • Communicate project details effectively with delivery teams
  • Identify cost trends and recommend improvements for efficiency and cost reduction
  • Conduct studies to establish standard costing benchmarks

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in estimating civil construction projects
  • Experience in water, sewer, or gas infrastructure projects preferred
  • Strong understanding of tendering and estimation procedures
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance, Workplace Health & Safety, and Environmental standards
  • Experience working in project delivery or site-based roles is an advantage

Eligibility

  • Must hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency
  • Willingness to undergo medical and police checks before employment
