Job Overview
The Director of Cloud Solutions will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Microsoft Azure services for clients across Cameroon and the Central African region. Reporting to the Regional Cloud Services Manager, you will shape cloud strategy, drive adoption of innovative solutions, and ensure high‑performance, secure, and cost‑effective cloud environments. You will collaborate with sales, engineering, and partner teams to deliver end‑to‑end cloud projects that accelerate digital transformation. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive cloud solutions roadmap aligned with regional business goals.
- Lead cross‑functional teams to design, migrate, and manage Azure workloads for enterprise customers.
- Architect scalable, secure, and cost‑optimized cloud infrastructures, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Partner with sales and partner ecosystems to identify opportunities and drive cloud adoption.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and knowledge transfer to junior engineers and consultants.
- Monitor performance metrics, conduct regular health checks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Represent Microsoft at industry events, conferences, and community meetups to promote cloud innovation.
Required Skills
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings.
- Strong architectural design skills with experience in hybrid cloud environments.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, and ARM templates.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a data‑driven approach to optimization.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills in both English and French.
- Leadership experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams.
Education
A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Experience
Minimum of eight years of progressive experience in cloud architecture, solution design, and delivery, with at least three years in a leadership or managerial capacity. Proven track record of successful large‑scale Azure deployments in enterprise environments is essential.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from 2,500,000 to 4,000,000 Central African CFA Franc (SSP) per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses and comprehensive benefits.
