H1: Oxygen Access Associate Job at CHAI Cameroon
CHAI Cameroon is seeking a dedicated professional to support the Ministry of Health in improving access to oxygen therapy and strengthening hospital healthcare systems. The role involves collaboration with government institutions, NGOs, healthcare workers, biomedical technicians, and international development partners.
The selected candidate will work closely with healthcare stakeholders to improve oxygen supply chain systems, clinical training, equipment management, monitoring systems, and national oxygen strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Support development of national oxygen access strategies and implementation roadmaps
- Coordinate healthcare program activities with government agencies and development partners
- Assist with procurement planning, inventory management, and medical supply chain systems
- Support hospital oxygen equipment management and maintenance systems
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, donor updates, and grant proposals
- Conduct data collection, monitoring, evaluation, and health information system reporting
- Facilitate clinical mentorship and healthcare worker training sessions
- Organize stakeholder meetings, workshops, and healthcare coordination events
- Support integration of oxygen-related indicators into national healthcare databases
- Develop standard operating procedures and biomedical equipment guidelines

Education Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration, or related discipline
- Master’s degree is an added advantage
- Additional certification in project management, monitoring and evaluation, or health systems management is beneficial
Experience Required
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in healthcare systems, NGO programs, or public health initiatives
- Experience working with government ministries, hospitals, or donor-funded healthcare projects
- Experience in healthcare supply chain management and medical equipment coordination preferred
- Strong understanding of low-resource healthcare environments
- Previous experience in West Africa or international health development projects is highly desirable
