Job Overview

The Automotive Production Planner will play a pivotal role in coordinating the flow of parts, managing production schedules, and ensuring that Toyota Cameroon meets its output targets while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed weekly and monthly production schedules aligned with demand forecasts.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of components, monitoring inventory levels and lead times.
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, propose corrective actions, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate new model launches and design changes into the production plan.
• Prepare and present performance reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and on‑time delivery rates.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout the planning process.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel functions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and the Toyota Production System.
• Problem‑solving mindset with the capacity to make data‑driven decisions under pressure.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Management, or a related discipline is required. Candidates with certifications in Lean Six Sigma or Production Planning are highly regarded.

Experience
