Job Overview

The Regional Logistics Operations Manager will lead the end‑to‑end logistics activities for the northern region of Cameroon, ensuring seamless coordination of transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes. Reporting to the Country Operations Director, you will be responsible for optimizing supply chain performance, managing a team of logistics coordinators, and maintaining strong relationships with carriers, clients, and regulatory authorities. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement regional logistics strategies that align with corporate goals and local market conditions.
• Oversee transportation planning, route optimization, and fleet management to ensure timely deliveries.
• Manage warehouse operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with customs authorities to streamline clearance processes and reduce delays.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of logistics coordinators and warehouse staff.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on‑time delivery, cost per ton‑kilometer, and inventory accuracy.
• Negotiate contracts with carriers, freight forwarders, and service providers to secure competitive rates.
• Prepare regular operational reports for senior management and recommend improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, international trade laws, and company policies.
• Drive continuous improvement through lean methodologies and technology adoption.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven mindset.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in French and English.
• Proficiency in logistics management software (e.g., SAP TM, Oracle Transportation Management).
• Leadership experience with the ability to motivate cross‑functional teams.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Candidates with a Master’s degree or professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) will be given preference.

Experience

Applicants must have 5‑7 years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, preferably within an international or multimodal environment. Experience managing regional operations in West or Central Africa is highly desirable.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from 1,500,000 to 2,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and allowances for travel and accommodation are included.
