Job Overview
The Automotive Quality Assurance Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all vehicles produced at the Dschang plant meet Toyota’s stringent quality standards and comply with local regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the incumbent will design, implement, and monitor quality control processes across the production line, supplier network, and post‑production testing phases. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive quality assurance plans, inspection procedures, and testing protocols for vehicle components and final assemblies.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis of quality issues, implement corrective actions, and verify effectiveness through follow‑up audits.
- Collaborate with design engineers, production supervisors, and suppliers to ensure specifications are met from concept to delivery.
- Lead internal and external quality audits, ensuring compliance with ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949, and Cameroonian automotive regulations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as defect rates, warranty claims, and customer satisfaction metrics, providing regular reports to senior management.
- Facilitate continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and enhance product reliability.
- Train production staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and proper documentation practices.
- Maintain accurate records of test results, non‑conformances, and corrective actions in the quality management system.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards, statistical process control, and failure mode analysis.
- Proficiency with quality management software (e.g., QMS, Minitab) and data analysis tools.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills in French and English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- Leadership qualities with experience in training and mentoring staff.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required. Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green Belt are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.

Salary
