Job Overview

The Senior Risk Analytics Manager will lead the design, implementation, and oversight of advanced risk analytics frameworks that support credit, market, and operational risk assessment across Ecobank Cameroon. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain quantitative risk models for credit, market, and operational risk.
  • Conduct regular stress testing and scenario analysis to assess portfolio resilience.
  • Provide risk dashboards and reporting to senior management and regulators.
  • Collaborate with IT and data science teams to integrate big data sources into risk analytics.
  • Lead the implementation of risk governance frameworks in line with Basel III and local regulations.
  • Mentor and train junior risk analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Present risk insights and recommendations to the Board and executive committees.
  • Support the development of risk‑adjusted pricing strategies for loan products.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Python, SAS) and data visualization tools.
  • Strong understanding of Basel III, IFRS 9, and local banking regulations.
  • Experience with credit risk modeling, PD/LGD/EAD calculations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting complex concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Project management experience with ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Leadership qualities and experience managing cross‑functional teams.
  • Fluency in English and French.

Education

A Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as FRM, CFA, or PRM are highly desirable and demonstrate a commitment to the field.

Experience

At least eight years of progressive experience in risk analytics within a banking or financial services environment is essential. Prior experience in a senior analytical role, leading model development and regulatory reporting, will be considered a strong advantage.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from 1,200,000 to 1,800,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses and comprehensive benefits.
