Job Overview
ERM is seeking a Senior Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist to join our team in Maroua, Cameroon. The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental impact assessment and a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects. The role will involve leading and managing environmental impact assessment projects, as well as providing technical expertise and guidance to clients.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and project management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have a strong understanding of environmental regulations and policies in Cameroon.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage environmental impact assessment projects, including project planning, stakeholder engagement, and report writing
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients on environmental impact assessment and sustainability issues
- Develop and implement environmental management plans and strategies for clients
- Conduct environmental risk assessments and develop mitigation measures
- Collaborate with other teams, including environmental permitting and sustainability consulting
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, or a related field
- 5-10 years of experience in environmental impact assessment or a related field
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality projects and providing technical expertise to clients
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and policies in Cameroon
Education
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, or a related field
Experience
5-10 years of experience in environmental impact assessment or a related field
